Radiology - Thoracic Radiographic Interpretation


This course is composed of a series of modules covering normal and abnormal interpretation of canine and feline thoracic radiology. Objectives of this course include review and assimilation of normal and abnormal aspects of the pulmonary parenchyma, mediastinum, pleural space, body wall, and heart. After completing this course, the participant will develop more confidence and expertise in interpretation of daily patient thoracic radiographs.

Dr. Larson received her DVM degree from Ohio State University in 1981, performed a one year internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the Animal Medical Center, followed by one year of small animal medicine residency also at the Animal Medical Center. A radiology residency and Masters program was completed at Ohio State University in 1986. Dr. Larson has been on faculty as a radiologist at the Va-Md College of Veterinary Medicine since 1986. Her primary interest is in the area of imaging of hepatobiliary and pulmonary disease. She has authored or co-authored over 60 refereed papers, and given presentations at several hundred local, state, national, and international meetings.
